Characteristics: Very lovable, feminine, sociable with human friends, a busy body, active, attentive, quick thinking & fast on her feet.

Interests: Keeping track of what the neighbours are doing over 'thier' side of the fence, checking on each member of the household to see all is okay, car travel and having fun.

Likes: Hunting for lizards in the paddock, walks in the bush, learning new things, being involved in family activities, attending dog shows, being treated like a princess.

Dislikes: Cats going near HER food bowl or near family members when they are eating.

Loves: Her 'babies'. Soft toys and plastic sqeakys she has been given over the years. She looks after them like they are her children and has never chewed, ripped or plucked any of them.
update - she chewed the legs off a rubbery squeaky crab we gave her recently, one by one.

Habits/Quirks: (told by Amber) Am I a naughty girl? Nope, 'cause I don't do anything that mum sees as being naughty. The only time I have been in big trouble was when I attacked the cat. It dared to pass me at the kitchen doorway, where I was supervising mum while she prepared a meal. Us Akitas watch EVERYTHING! Anyway, mum had to shake the scruff of my neck so I'd let the cat go, then she sent me outside! I was NOT impressed. But I haven't done it again - 'cause I don't want to suffer the indignity of being spoken to as if I were a child being sent to ones room ... humph!

update - Amber has done it again. When it comes to her food - or food which she would like to have she won't let a cat take it. Especially not Kitten. He is the only cat of our 3 which Amber has attacked. Three times now, because he ventured too close to food which was going to be hers. Kitten has survived the attacks. He looked a bit freaked-out of course but was fine physically, bar a couple of superficial skin scrapes. Amber doesn't hate Kitten. Kitten thinks Amber is psycho. Remove the food factor and everything is fine between them.
